I had a wonderful ECCC last weekend! Hello again to everyone who stopped to visit during the event!
This year I edited my art selection to focus on my own projects, especially fairies and illuminating monsters, and while I still had too many things on the table, the overall look seemed nicer than in past shows. Each show I try to find the perfect balance between "understocked table" and "rummage-sale heap" and while perfection, as always, escapes me, this year I got a little closer.
Since ECCC, I have applied to Seattle’s Geek Girl Con, in November, and confirmed a table at Renton Comic Con in September. Thus autumn falls into place. I will also be attending NorWesCon next month; I won’t be a panelist this year, but I will have two walls of art in the art show and will chat and sign cards if asked.
The months ahead are going to be full of my personal project, tentative working title “Beyond the Wood.” It’s grown out of my old sketchbook, “The Other Side of the Wood,” and now it will fill my life for a while before being born into the maternity ward of projects that is Kickstarter. There will be WIPs and detail images coming.
