Changeling's Tools of the Trade

“Tools of the Trade,” is now live! Changeling Artist Collective’s February art auction celebrates the tools we use in our craft, magical and otherwise (technically.) This auction of original art started at noon EST on Feb. 18th and ends at noon EST on Friday, Feb. 22. For more information on bidding, or to look at the entire body of work, please visit the main auction page!

I have two works in the auction this month, one recent and one with history. Let me introduce you to Old Threadneedle Helps Out and Kierkegaard’s Fianceé

Mr. Threadneedle Helps Out is both a newly completed workup of a recent fairy sketch and the inspiration for one of the stories from the world I’m building on Patreon. The art is not entirely the character, but they are closely related. Here’s the link to Old Threadneedle’s story, to learn more about him and about my fae in general; https://www.patreon.com/posts/junefae-2018-4-19906826

Kierkegaard’s Fianceé is a few years old now, an illustration for a book of sermons about the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. Kierkegaard ended his engagement to Regina Olsen, a woman he seemed to have loved passionately, on the strength of his also-passionate deslre to write about God and the assumption that he could love one or the other but not both. I know Regina was terribly hurt by the breakup, but I have always thought that in the long run, Kierkegaard’s assessment that she would be better off without him might not be entirely wrong.
