Flora & Fauna Art with Changeling

The Changeling Artist Community is now welcoming art lovers to their February auction of fantasy art inspired by the theme of "Flora & Fauna."  The auction, taking place on Facebook, opened for bidding at noon EST today and ends at noon EST on Friday, February 17th.  The artwork is set up in an FB album, and bids are placed as comments to the relevant image.

I painted a little Camellia Fay for the auction.  She's basically painted in watercolor on cold-press watercolor paper, but then I added Prismacolor pencils and white gouache and water-soluble gold leaf, so it's probably best to say she's pink and sparkly and leave it at that.

I've also offered one of my Junefay fairies from last year, a troublesome looking Sunflower Fay, to see if he can find a home.  I'm afraid he doesn't fit into a standard picture frame, so I've started him off with a really affordable minimum bid to make up for the cost of getting a mat cut specially for him.  He doesn't look like he appreciates it...

If you're a fan of fairies, check back soon to hear about my next sketchbook, "Faeries, Fates and Furies" being printed this month.  It's a collection of my favorite magical critter drawings and watercolor sketches from the last year, and runs the gamut from adorable to terrifying.  I'll be posting more about it soon!
